WHAT IS ZOMBIE MUSIC FEST?

Picture
Zombie Music Fest takes place in Downtown Grand Forks on the first weekend of October every Fall. It's free, open to the public, and fun for all ages.

If you are interested in sponsoring Zombie Music Fest or learning more about some of the fun things that NoVAC puts on for the community, please feel free to call us or email info@novac.org.

2012 ZOMBIE FEST RE-CAP

There were a few new additions to the 2012 Zombie Music Fest. On the eve of Zombie Fest, NoVAC hosted a Zombie Film Fest at the Empire Arts Center. There was a children's costume contest, Mother Goose Bumps story time, local film shorts by Les Sholes from Fat Cat Productions, and the Vincent Price Classic - House on Haunted Hill. On top of that there were delicious spooky cupcakes provided by Dakota Harvest and wine, pop, and popcorn.

NoVAC held a poster and video competition that was open to the public. There were several submissions for both of the contests and the winning poster was hung up around town while the winning video was played on WDAZ and the River Cinema.

At Zombie Music Fest, there was a Battle of the Bands where four local bands battled. It was a great time for all, even though there was a chill in the air, which actually, we thought was fitting for the event. On top of the Battle of the Bands, Zombie Music Fest had an adult costume contest, a make-up booth, a costume-making booth, ArtWise Kids' Corner booth, and a beer garden where glow-in-the-dark beer steins were available for purchase. Everyone had a good time and there'll be pictures posted soon.
