Arts and culture are an important part of the high quality of life enjoyed in Greater Grand Forks. Over the past twenty years, our members have helped the regional arts community grow by showing their commitment to NoVAC’s mission of supporting arts and culture for the artists, arts organizations and citizens of Greater Grand Forks.

If you have attended the Art & Wine Walk, the Grand Cities Arst Fest, or a theatrical production, musical performance, or art exhibition, you’ve enjoyed some of the great regional arts and culture that we work to support. Thank you for your patronage of the arts!

Through the generous contributions of our members, we are able to provide many important services that enhance the quality of life in our region and promote a healthier community life. To give you a sense of what I mean, here are just a few examples of what’s on our organization’s plate right now. 

• NoVAC maintains www.culturepulse.org, the leading online arts and cultural calendar in the region. The site includes comprehensive event listings, artist profiles and a database of arts venues and organizations.
• We organize the Art & Wine Walk, a fun and relaxing event that takes place May through October and provides artists opportunities to show their work, and arts supporters to view artwork and enjoy downtown Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.
•  We manage the Grand Cities Arts Fest, the premiere arts event in the Grand Forks

         region.

• NoVAC’s Re-grant Program, funded by the City of Grand Forks, provides resources to regional nonprofit arts and cultural organizations to present the many arts events in the region.
• We organize the Mayor's Choice Artist Program, in partnership with the Grand Forks Mayor's Office.
• We offer support and advice to regional artists and arts organizations, as well as maintaining a strong advocacy program for the arts.
