every three months Mayor Mike Brown will choosea visual artist to show his or her art in the atrium of City Hall. Artwork can be any medium. There
will be a reception for each new Mayor's Choice artist, attended by Mayor Brown and other city and arts figures. The artwork will remain on show at

Artists Needed for the 2010 Art & Wine Walk
For Visual Artists and Musicians
The 2010 Art & Wine Walk season kicked off to a great start on June 19th. Every month, 200-300 participators stroll through downtown Grand
Forks & East Grand Forks and view artwork by local artists at galleries, restaurants, and other businesses that serve wine or other non-alcoholic
refreshment.
The North Valley Arts Council, in collaboration with our Art & Wine Walk partners, the Greater Grand Forks Convention and Visitors Bureau, is looking
for fresh artists for the August 21, September 18, and October 16 Art & Wine Walks.
There are new businesses participating in the Art & Wine Walk this year, including the Boardwalk Bar & Grill and Mamma Maria's, both in East Grand
Forks next to the Blue Moose. The Blue Moose is the busiest of the two starting locations for the walk, and because of their ambience and proximity to
the Blue Moose, these are excellent places to show and sell your artwork to hundreds of people! There are also many more excellent businesses
available to show your artwork.
Artists must have their artwork on display at their locations (artists are placed at businesses by the North Valley Arts Council) from 12:30 to 5pm on
Art & Wine Walk days. Artists are also encouraged to be present for the Art & Wine Walk.
For more information or if you are interested in particpating in one or all of the 2010 Art & Wine Walks, call 701-772-3710 or e-mail
mariestrinden@novac.org.
The artist application is available here, and can be e-mailed to mariestrinden@novac.org or mailed to:
North Valley Arts Council
124 North 3rd Street, 2nd Floor
Grand Forks, ND 58201
*** Artists who have participated in the Art & Wine Walk are always welcome! This new artist application process is not intended to replace
artists already loyal to the Art & Wine Walk.
