The North Valley Arts Council and the Grand Forks Mayor's Office are proud to partner on the Mayor's Choice Artist Program.  Every three months, Mayor Michael Brown chooses a visual artist to show his or her art in the atrium in City Hall.  Each Mayor's Choice show displays for three months and is accompanied by an artist's reception.

In addition to artist applications, we are also accepting applications for musical artists and groups to play at the receptions.  If you are a visual artist or musician, you are invited to apply for the Mayor's Choice program.  Applicants must be North Valley Arts Council members.  (an artist membership is $25)  Click here to become a member.  

Due to the number of quality artists who apply for this program, the North Valley Arts Council keeps artist and musician applications for future consideration.  Therefore, an artist or musician may be chosen many months after the submission of his or her application.  If you are unable to participate in the future, you can note that on your application.

Artists at all levels of skill and all visual art forms are encouraged to apply.

The Mayor's Choice reception and exhibit schedule is:


February Reception
