The Hatton Community Theatre is dedicated to creating
opportunities for area artists to explore and fulfill
their artistic talents and share those talents with
the community. The theatre began it's 31st season in
September, 2004, performing "Milk Dreams" by Grand
Forks playwright, Kathy Coudle King, in Phoenix for
the National WIC Conference. This was followed by a
production of the hilarious comedy "Dearly Departed,"
in Hatton, and an original work, "The Light of
Christmas," done in connection with the annual
Old-Fashioned Holiday Extravaganza. The theatre has
joined forces with the North Dakota Playwrights' Co-op
to produce two upcoming ten-minute play festivals with
original scripts by North Dakota playwrights, with
tentative plans for a third later this summer. In
July, the theatre performs "Milk Dreams" in Chicago
for an international conference. The theatre is
excited with it's renewed focus on area playwrights
and expanding opportunities for North Dakota
playwrights.
