NoVAC Recieves Grant from Knight Foundation

The North Valley Arts Council (NoVAC) has received a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation in the amount of $145,000 to be used over three years. Effective January 1, 2005, grant funds will support professional development opportunities for area arts providers, and the development of an on-line community arts resource and calendaring system. Grant funds will also maintain existing activities, including the production of NoVAC's quarterly newsletter, calendars of events, artist directory, web site updates and advocacy and outreach activities. With grant support from the Knight Foundation, the Administrative Coordinator position has been increased to full-time. NoVAC receives additional support from the Archibald Bush Foundation, the North Dakota Council on the Arts, the Charles D. and Elynor B. Nelson Foundation and our members.
